Fall Interactive Activities for Kids

Fall is such a great time of the year to get outside and have your students or kids write. There are so many wonderful engaging activities you can do! Here are some of my activities I do with my students. They love these activities and the best part about it...very little prep! Fall Activities Bundle has everything you need for a great Fall Unit!

If you are looking to teach about Bats, I have a great unit for you! I absolutely love teaching this bat unit. It gets the students engaged and the interactive activities have endless possibilities. My third grade staff loves placing all of the bats in the hallway for a bat cave display. It is so awesome! The kids love walking down the hall reading their writing and checking out everyone's bats. You are going to want to give this unit a try! Bat Unit

Make sure to come back for more great Fall Activities!

Columbus Day- Interactive, Engaging, Worth While Activities

When I first started teaching, I had a difficult time finding interactive, engaging, hands-on activities for my students. Especially when it came to finding them for holidays. I made it my mission to create my own materials that would be worth while and engaging for my students. If you are like me, you are not ever going to hand your students worksheets and let them go at it. You want them to learn, be engaged, create, and understand! Columbus Day is coming up and I have created materials that will engage your students and help them discover the great voyages of Christopher Columbus!

Reflecting and Processing

As I am sitting here reflecting on my TpT Vegas conference experience, I feel exhausted and energized all at once! It was a lot of awesome information in two days! I can't wait to start implementing ideas and strategies I learned. I am excited to continue to develop quality products that engage your students in your classrooms!

My Inspiration

What is your inspiration?

My inspiration is my family. My boys drive me to be a better mom, teacher, friend, TpT seller, and mostly to sum it up, a  better person! I feel that your inspiration is so important. It is what drives you to do the things you do and become the person you want to become. I challenge you to think about what inspires you and to build from there.

Here's to following dreams and finding your inspiration!

Here I come Vegas! #TpTVegas15

I am SUPER excited (and a little nervous) to go to the TpT conference in Vegas! I can remember hearing many teachers talk about going last year and I just wasn't able to go. I just couldn't see justifying the cost when my store wasn't where I wanted it to be. I knew this year I was going to be ready and go no matter what! I feel like I am at the point where I want to take my store to the next level and am not really sure how to get there. What better way to do it than learn from some of the best! So...Vegas here I come! I am ready to soak up all the knowledge I possibly can and meet some AWESOME people!  I will be blogging from the conference, so stay tuned! I will also be posting some freebies! Here is to a new adventure!

Dare to Dream Week 2 #TPTSELLERCHALLENGE

Continue to stay home with my boys and work from home I have stayed home with my boys for the last 2 years and have LOVED this chapter of my life. I have seen my boys, first hand, grow in so many ways and I love it! My boys are 2 and almost 5! Jaxon will be 5 on Sunday! After having my youngest son, my husband and I decided I was going to stay home with them. This was the best decision we have ever made. We have made LOTS of sacrifices, but they are worth every one! I started on TpT shortly after staying home, with a push from my husband to follow my dreams. I have done better than I ever could have imaged. I love being a curriculum developer and sharing my resources with other wonderful teachers. TpT has helped my dream to stay home with my boys and I pray that it continues to help me financially to be able to stay home with them in the future.

Take my family on a vacation! It has been way too long since we have taken our family on a vacation. One of the sacrifices that I mentioned above, is not being able to take them on vacations. I want to be able to take them to Florida on a vacation soon! My boys will love flying on a plane for the first time. I want to make this dream happen soon for them!

Bless others in BIG ways! I have been so blessed by my family and friends. I want to be able to bless them in BIG ways as well. God has blessed me with so many wonderful talents and I continue to uncover new ones daily. God loves a giving heart and I want to be able to give to others in need whenever possible. Deuteronomy 15:10 Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.

Reach the top sellers list on TpT This is a BIG dream; however, I know it is possible. I want to continue to grow and expand my knowledge on creating products teachers really need and use. I am going to the TpT conference in Vegas this summer to soak up ALL the knowledge I possibly can to help me reach this dream! I am so excited I am on the first page of the top sellers for my state but I don't want to stop there. I am confident in my work and myself that this dream will be a reality!

Live out God's great plan for me I should probably say continue to live out God's plan for me. I knew with all my heart that God wanted me to be a teacher and help students at risk and in need. I found myself teaching at a school that I never imaged I would be teaching at. I LOVED it! Yes, there were times where it was very challenging, but I knew God had a plan for me. Once I had my youngest, I felt God pulling me in the direction to stay home with my boys. I had no idea how we were going to financially afford doing this; however, I found TpT and God just continued to bless my husband and I to make staying home possible. I want to continue to live out his dream in a big way!

Dream Big!
